It is one of the roles/jobs of a counsellor to keep confidentiality at all costs and maintain the secrecy of the client’s case history and not share or discuss with any other mental health professional as well without their consent. Even if the communication of the counselee and the counsellor is being recorded, or used as a reference, or as an example or part of training as a case study for educational purposes will not reveal any privacy or name of the client and won’t expose anything without their permission to do so which will be taken prior to the counselling begins.
